ABOUT ME

I grew up immersed in the sounds of the ’60s, falling in love with artists like The Monkees, America, and playful classics such as “The Monster Mash.” By the time the ’80s rolled around, that love had only deepened—The Pretenders, the Go-Go’s, ABBA, and Devo all left their mark on my musical imagination.

Though I never expected to create music, my artistic voice emerged slowly, formed over decades of listening and a lifetime woven with pain and joy.

My childhood was spent among farm animals and countless dogs I cared for every day. In my early adult life, it wasn’t just music that inspired me—it was also dogs. I built a business centered on caring for them, and for 25 years I poured my heart and soul into the lives entrusted to me. Now, I’m taking a piece of that same heart, soul, and time and blending my love of dogs with my love of music.

Some of my greatest inspirations have been my Dalmatians—Rennie Mae, Truly, and Chad. Chad became my logo: a recent rescue with many health challenges. We were only given eight months together, but those months were deeply impactful, just like the time I shared with the others.

I never planned on becoming a music-maker, but now I'm creating songs inspired by the eras that raised me, transforming nostalgia into a voice all my own. I hope you'll take a moment to listen, and enjoy!

The journey of sound and silence

My journey with sound and silence has really just been a long process of learning to pay attention. Silence has a way of gently tapping me on the shoulder, reminding me to slow down and actually listen. Sound, on the other hand, tends to show up unannounced—sometimes as a melody, sometimes as a mistake—but always with something to teach me. I’m far from figuring it all out, but somewhere between the quiet pauses and the messy musical moments, I’ve found small bits of who I am. And honestly, I’m just grateful every day that I get to keep learning from both.

My inspiration

My musical inspiration comes from a pretty simple mix of real-life chaos and real-life comfort: the lessons of failed relationships, the unwavering love of my dogs, and the joy I find in drums and writing. Heartbreak has a way of teaching me things I didn’t want to learn, while my dogs remind me—daily—what unconditional love actually looks like. And somewhere in between all of that, there are rhythms and words that help me make sense of it. I don’t pretend to have it all figured out; I just try to turn the mess, the love, and the noise into something honest.
